Tasting Notes: Inky purple color, with aromas of black plum, cassis, anise, cocoa and baking spice. The flavors are consistent, with dark fruit and spicy nutmeg framed by a bit of oak, some sweetness, and balanced acidity. The entire package leads to a mouthwatering, long-lasting finish with an intriguing hint of cinnamon.

Winemaker's Notes: Once again the Port contains about equal measures of Lemberger and Cabernet Sauvignon from the Mercer Ranch Vineyard. Initially intent on two different styles of Port, we realized that the blend was superior to either of the two varietals alone. Cabernet supplies depth, backbone, and concentrated flavors, while the Lemberger adds a juicy fruit quality, as well as a richer mouthfeel and a more complex, lingering finish.
