JOSE MENDOZA
Assistant Winemaker

Jose came to Badger Mountain in 1994. Starting in the vineyard, he was soon splitting his time between the field and the winery.  In 1996, he moved into the winery permanently and in 2003 was promoted to Assistant Winemaker. Jose’s insight, experience, and dedication have contributed greatly to the constant refinement of our vision for each vineyard we select and each wine we bottle. In his ongoing pursuit of continuing education, Jose is back at university to study chemistry and enology.

Jose lives in Kennewick with his wife and four children, and near to his extended family. His spare time is spent being an active fan at his kid’s sports events and coordinator of family getaways.
